Our first-ever tea party for our Statistics majors, and we had an impressive turnout! 🫖
The event gave our Statistics undergraduates an opportunity to meet their fellow coursemates, juniors and seniors, as well as interact with our faculty members. Some met for the first time, while others had more opportunities to reconnect and catch up.
It was a lovely reminder that university life is not just about studies, but also about the friendships and networks we build throughout our university journey. 💙

During a recent learning journey at Jurong Pioneer Junior College, Assoc Prof Vikneswaran Gopal and Dr Daisy Pham introduced students to the key phases of a statistician's and data scientist's work—from planning data collection and analysing data to communicating insights through effective visualisation—through a fun and interactive paper helicopter activity.

The hands-on session offered students a practical introduction to the data science workflow, demonstrating how statistics and data science are applied to solve real-world problems.

We hope the experience sparked their curiosity and inspired them to explore the exciting possibilities in the field.
