The Service Learning Committee (SLC) was formed with a mission to advocate a culture of service learning and corporate social responsibility in Nanyang Business School (NBS). The committee seeks to promote service learning and community outreach by showcasing the transformational experiences of prior service learning participants as well as engaging the NBS community in championing their own cause
. With NBS’s ethos of nurturing global leaders for a sustainable world, the committee realises a need to increase our students’ awareness of existing community gaps and to instil a sense of corporate social responsibility in NBS undergraduates. By providing undergraduates with a variety of volunteer and service learning opportunities, the committee hopes to initiate a kindness movement in NBS that advocates the spirit of giving and serving - an essential trait which will follow our undergraduates through to their working life, and will be demonstrated in their leadership and management directions.
