TLDR: Save the date! Come hang out with YNC Southeast Asian Society on 5th August 8-9 pm during our trivia night & fun time chat session ~

If you're looking to immerse yourself in Southeast Asian culture & affairs, we do everything from celebrating cultural festivals (eg. Loi Krathong), workshops and tours (eg. National Gallery) to talks/programmes concerning regional politics and SEA's business & tech scene.

We'll be hosting, over zoom, a chill trivia-night style hang-out - all about Southeast Asian culture, cuisine and its other curiosities. We hope you'll then learn more about what we're passionate about as a society, what we do, and all the ways you'll fit right in here.

The zoom link will be sent to you after you sign-up, or simply access it here: https://yale-nus-edu-sg.zoom.us/j/89867641967?pwd=d0hQdEtQSUZTSWVCTjUxSStFdkxFdz09

We are thankful to have the opportunity to work with a dedicated team of product managers from 楽天市場(Rakuten, Inc.)over the last six weeks, to deliver a six week Product Management Mentorship Programme.

We hope that this will only be the end of the beginning of the participants’ PM journey!

The Yale-NUS Southeast Asian Society and e-commerce company Rakuten Asia organised a mentorship programme which benefitted participants from various institutions, including National University of Singapore, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore Management University and Singapore University of Technology and Design. The programme, ProductX: Product Management Mentorship Programme, was held over six weeks in October and November, where participants went through a series of workshops to learn about product management, including product strategy, prioritisation techniques, user interface/experience and the building of prototype wireframes. For their final presentation, students applied what they learnt from the programme to develop various product feature enhancements using examples of actual e-commerce companies.

The Yale-NUS Southeast Asian Society, History Society & Saga College Office is excited to have Singaporean political commentator and author, Sudhir Thomas Vadeketh, share his views on racial categorisations and the feasibility of a post-racial future in Singapore.

We will explore questions such as:

🤔Has CMIO helped or hampered development and multiculturalism?

🤔Is it time for Singapore to consider a post-racial future? What does that even mean?

🤔What can Singaporeans learn from race discussions in the West, including intersectionality, critical race theory and other BLM associated critiques?

This event will be held in person on 28 Oct (Wednesday) from 6-7.30pm. Due to COVID-19 restrictions we are only open to 30 Yale-NUS Students. Sign up at https://lnkd.in/gbD_nU2
