Living Analytics Research Centre (LARC) is an National Research Foundation (NRF) funded research centre hosted in Singapore Management University (SMU). LARC aims to develop technological capabilities for a personalized and participatory smart nation by advancing data sensing, data mining, machine learning and crowdsourcing research and applying these research methods in smart applications to addr
ess urban and social challenges. There are four smart nation application domains where LARC is actively working on, namely (a) urban and social liveability, (b) jobs and skills intelligence, (c) personalized urban mobility, and (d) smart consumption and healthy lifestyle. The overall research goal of LARC is to create smart nation solutions based on data driven insights, intelligent recognition of social and urban contexts, automatically constructed rich urban knowledge bases, and personalized user engagement.
