NTU Canoe Polo

NTU Canoe Polo Formed in 2001, the NTU Canoe Polo team is now an established CCA of Nanyang Technological Universi No prior experience is required.

Canoe Polo is a spectacular team game, which combines elements of water polo, basketball and canoeing! The game is played by two teams of five players each, trying to score goals with a waterpolo ball in a net suspended above the water at each end of a “playing pitch”, which is often a swimming pool. The fast, exciting game is played in two halves of ten minutes each, and produces fast, robust act

ion, where a wide range of skills, including the Eskimo roll, are regularly used. The paddlers use short, manoeuvrable polo-boat kayaks, paddled with two-bladed paddles and wear helmets, facemasks and lifejackets for safety and protection. (Adapted from ICF website)

Team Selection:
We welcome anyone to join us. Just have an open mind and the passion to learn. The skills to play can be nurtured eventually. What’s most important is your perseverance and your fighting spirit. Women’s Team Training Schedule (Pool):
Thursday: 8.00pm to 11.00pm
Saturday: 8.00am to 11.00am

Men’s Team Training Schedule (Pool):
Tuesday: 8.00pm to 11.00pm
Friday: 8.00pm to 11.00pm

Combined Team Training (Land):
Wednesday: 8.00pm to 10.00pm

Sports and Recreation Center (SRC) Swimming Pool

S’pore Polytechnic Open (March)

It's time to bring everyone up to speed on what we've been up to this past AY (and a teaser of what freshies can expect this coming AY26/27 🤩) 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️💨

The highlight of this part of AY25/26 was the 2026 National Championships! Our Women's team defended their Championship title, making NTU W two-time champions of the Women's ITC 🏆🏆 Our Men's team also fought hard and earned Second Runner-up in the Men's ITC. Good job everyone!! 🙌

We're so grateful for all our members for dedicating their time and effort this past AY! 💪

The highlight of this part of AY25/26 was obviously our very own competition, NTU Opens, that we host in January every year 😄🤓 (P.S. NTUO is the only competition that has a beginners-only 3v3 category!)

Organizing the competition over two weekends was no easy feat, but we're so thankful for all participants (and the weather) for making NTUO 2026 such a success!

In March, we competed in the SP Opens, a competition held by SPCP that leads up to the final event of the season, the National Canoe Polo Championships!

The highlight of this part of AY25/26 was the yearly Kuala Lumpur Canoe Polo Invitationals and our R&R activities afterwards! (Go-karting again, anyone keen? 👀)

What a way to end off the AY25/26 season!

After two weekends of fierce competition at the 2026 Singapore National Canoe Polo Championships, NTUCP has brought back medals, great memories and another trophy to the collection! 🏆🏆
