💙 Care goes way beyond the paperwork.

Here’s Jolyn Chin, our Diploma in Integrated Community Care student, who recently wrapped up her internship with TOUCH Elderly Group – Service Support! ✨

From supporting home care admissions to helping seniors and caregivers navigate services, Jolyn got a real look at what community care is all about.

But the biggest takeaway? It’s about people. 🫶

Whether helping a visually impaired client arrange document collection at home or accompanying a wheelchair-using client for a medical appointment, Jolyn learned that patience, compassion and respect can make a real difference.

💬 “I learned the importance of practical support, patience, and respecting our seniors’ dignity and independence.”

Another SSH student taking his internship experience to Bangkok! 🇹🇭✈️

Meet Jordan Tai, who spent his 20-week RP internship at Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital, where he planned and coordinated activities to keep seniors moving, active and healthy! 💪🧠🎉

For Jordan, the best part was building meaningful connections with the same group of seniors throughout his internship. ❤️

“With my training in ‘Behaviour Change’ from my Diploma in Sports & Health, I was ready and able to plan various games and interactions that engaged the seniors well!”

And there was an extra bonus🌟 — his internship coincided with Songkran! 💦🎊 Jordan got to experience the celebrations while gaining insights into how large-scale events are coordinated across Thailand.

His assignment for the seniors was to create opportunities for their mental engagement, social interaction and plenty of fun in group settings. 🧠🤝🎉

Beyond the experience, Harris gained a fresh take on the importance of treating seniors with dignity, respect and warmth. ❤️

“The Thai medical staff treat their patients like family members - it’s just part of their culture! This has really changed how I look at healthcare.” Harris shared.
