Celebrating Andrew Tanggara who successfully defended his thesis! ๐Ÿ‘

Throughout his PhD, Andrew did research in various topics in quantum information. His thesis is on "Quantum Error Correction Across Space, Time, and Dimension: Frameworks, Resources, and Encodings". Andrew's main thesis advisor was Principal Investigator Dagomir Kaszlikowski and Principal Investigator Mile Gu his co-advisor.

Next, Andrew will be joining neutral atom quantum computing company QuEra in Boston, USA, as a postdoctoral fellow. All the best, Dr Tanggara! ๐ŸŽ“๏ธ

CQT PhD student Frits Verhagen successfully defended his thesis "Classical And Quantum Information Measures Characterizing Convertibility: An Axiomatic Approach". ๐Ÿ‘ Congratulations! ๐Ÿฅ‚ Principal Investigator Marco Tomamichel was his main thesis advisor and Senior Research Fellow Erkka Haapasalo his co-advisor.

๐Ÿพ Pop the champagne! PhD student Qiu Yixian successfully defended her thesis "Exponential Tilting in Quantum Computing: Foundations and Applications"! ๐Ÿ’Congratulations! ๐Ÿ‘

Her PhD research focuses on learning guarantees for tunable objective functions in quantum frameworks, as well as reshaping optimization landscapes in variational quantum algorithms through tunable objectives and their practical implementation. Yixian was supervised by Patrick Rebentrost.
