Hope this email finds you well.
I'm writing to update you on the student debate activity that FAO, RECOFTC and UN Environment arrange annually. As we are well aware, due to the COVID-19 pandemic this year debate event has to be cancelled. Instead, we are organizing an online video competition in October 2020. I'm pleased to share the details of the competition and am hopeful your school's team is interested to take part in this competition.
Below are the details of the event:
Event: Online video competition -- team will submit a 2-minute video presentation in English
Topic: Forests and pandemics
Submission: team submission for high school and university student levels
Timeline: competition starts in August and closes on 30 September
Winner announcement: October
More details will be shared later next month but we hope you will take this into consideration as part of your activities when your school resumes.
