🌿 From Thailand’s Deep South to the international stage in Singapore! 🇹🇭➡️🇸🇬
We are proud to celebrate the achievement of Mr. Husnee Samae, Founder of Concur Patchwork and a PhD student in Development and Sustainability at the Faculty of Public Policy and Sustainable Development, Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), who recently represented his social enterprise at Eco Fashion Week Singapore.
Concur Patchwork was established with a vision to transform discarded fabric scraps and second-hand clothing into high-value fashion products through upcycling. More importantly, the initiative creates economic opportunities for women in Thailand’s southern border provinces while promoting environmental sustainability and community development.
Founded by Husnee before beginning his doctoral studies, Concur Patchwork transforms discarded fabric scraps and second-hand clothing into high-value fashion products through upcycling. Beyond creating sustainable fashion, the enterprise has become a powerful vehicle for social change—creating income opportunities, strengthening skills, and improving the livelihoods of women and families in Thailand’s southern border provinces.
Through his PhD studies, Husnee has further expanded the impact of Concur Patchwork by applying sustainable development principles and research-based approaches to strengthen both its environmental and social contributions. Today, the enterprise not only reduces textile waste but also helps elevate local communities, preserve local craftsmanship, and bring the stories and talents of southern Thai artisans to the global stage.
✨ Husnee’s journey demonstrates how education, innovation, and social entrepreneurship can work together to create lasting change—transforming discarded materials into opportunities and empowering communities to build a more sustainable and inclusive future.
