🌾 ASE & ABM Field Trip 2025 🌱
On 10–11 November 2025, 36 students, faculty, and staff from the Agricultural Systems and Engineering program and Agribusiness Management program, AIT, joined a two-day field trip to explore cutting-edge technologies and sustainable agricultural practices.

Highlights:
🔹 Chia Tai Experience Center (Chachoengsao) – learned about innovations in rice cultivation management, crop improvement, modern farming demonstration plots, and agricultural technologies such as drones and auto-steering control systems.
🔹 Eastern Economic Corridor of Innovation (EECi), Rayong – explored biorefinery, plant phenomics, and smart greenhouse systems driving the future of modern agriculture.
🔹 Thai President Foods (Chonburi) – observed large-scale food production of Mama instant noodles and learned about quality control processes.
🔹 Nichcha Charm Smart Farm – experienced data-driven watermelon cultivation, sustainable practices, and value chain management.

💡 Participants gained valuable knowledge on how innovation and technology can enhance efficiency and sustainability across the agricultural value chain.

🙏 Special thanks to all four visiting sites — Chia Tai Experience Center, Eastern Economic Corridor of Innovation (EECi), Thai President Foods, and Nichcha Charm Smart Farm — for warmly welcoming us, sharing your valuable knowledge, and giving your time to inspire our students.

AIT Field Visit in Collaboration with DOAE, Ubon Ratchathani 🇹🇭

The Department of Food, Agriculture and Natural Resources (DFANR), AIT, would like to extend our sincere appreciation to the Department of Agricultural Extension (DOAE), Ubon Ratchathani Province, for their warm welcome and strong support during our field visit on 30 October 2025.

The AIT research team, led by Dr. Sushil Himanshu together with researchers from Texas A&M University, USA, and the Republic of Korea, had the opportunity to study and exchange knowledge on rice production in the Mekong and Mun River basins.

This collaboration aims to enhance understanding of sustainable rice production under climate change, strengthen research partnerships, and contribute toward achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

We are truly grateful to all officers from the Provincial and District Agricultural Offices of Khong Chiam and Phibun Mangsahan for their kind guidance and coordination throughout the visit. 🙏
