For 50 years, the University of Iowa School of Music music therapy program has explored how music can support healing. Today, that work continues in new ways.

Graduate student Jayda Hunstad is leading research focused on teens recovering from surgery, developing music-based tools to support patients during the often-overlooked months of recovery at home.
