Northern State University English Club

Northern State University English Club The NSU English Club is dedicated to nurturing the student's compassion for literature, film, and general culture. Dr. Peter Ramey, Faculty Advisor.

Julia Wold, Current President. Molly Royals, Vice President. We host a variety of different flavored events, including, but not limited to:

Sweets & Stories. Sweets & Stories is a chance for the faculty and staff at Northern State University to interact with the student body by way of sharing their favorite literature piece. The event is held in the fall months and usually includes a bake sale t

o raise money for our club. Student Extravaganza. The newly formulated event, entitled "Student Extravaganza" is usually held in the spring semester and is a way for the student body to express themselves by way of what drives them creatively, such as literature, drama pieces, songs, poems, essays, etc. The options are unlimited. This event usually also houses a bake sale. We meet to the discretion of the student body. Our meeting agendas usually lay out as follows:

I. New Business
II. Old Business
III. Idea Swap
IV. Open Forum
V. Event Planning Committee
Literature/Film/ General Popular Culture Discussion/ Free Talk. If you're lucky, someone will be so kind enough to bring us goodies during our meetings. Be sure to join us. The conversations get VERY interesting and we love new members!

Hello everyone!

We'll be having our first meeting tomorrow at 2 pm in the Library Round Room. This first meeting will be pretty laid back, since we'll just be getting to know each other and chatting. If you know anybody that wasn't able to find us at Club Rush or is interested in seeing what we're about please invite them along!

Also, if you have any ideas of fun things we could do in English Club please bring those too!

Sigma Tau Delta, the International English Honor Society, was established in 1924 to confer distinction upon students of the English language and literature in undergraduate, graduate, and professional studies.
