We recently went around campuses in Abilene to award clinical teachers with their Clinical Teacher of the Year and one Spirit of Teaching. All of our teachers did a great job!

McMurry University’s Virtual Campus is offering an alternative certification program. The FasTrack program presents an exciting opportunity for anyone who has a bachelor’s degree and is seeking Texas teacher certification. Orientation courses open March 11 and May 6 with coursework begins July 1. Additional options are available for face to face classes in the fall and spring semesters with courses beginning in May.

Prerequisites for the program including a 2.75 GPA and passing a state content test in addition to applying to McMurry. The FasTrack director will evaluate transcripts for certification areas as the orientation course begins. Once coursework is completed, students will be eligible for a teaching internship or for clinical teaching.
