: About 50 years after opening its doors, the Wilson Art Center inspires a creative spirit. While graphite, ink, and pigments now share space with digital tablets and modern media, the dedication to artistic expression remains unchanged.

That legacy is proudly showcased in Polaris, Ohio Northern University’s award-winning undergraduate magazine of arts and literature. Established in 1957, the publication has earned high acclaim over the decades, including National Pacemaker Awards, All-American ratings, and awards from the Associated College Press, including Best in Show.

This Fall 1985 issue of Polaris featured exceptional work from the following Art & Design students:
• “Spotlights” (ink) by Kent Oliver, freshman, Ada, Ohio
• “Brickhouse No. 1” (intaglio print), by Timothy Laing, senior, Ada, Ohio

The editor-in-chief was Timothy Laing and Amy Corle served on the art staff.

Other art students included in the edition were:
• Julianne Bay, senior, Urbana, Ohio
• Luci Dimick, sophomore, Aurora, Ohio
• Gloriann E. Geib, senior, Erie, Pennsylvania
• Wendy, Keplinger, sophomore, Shelbyville, Indiana
• Melanie Macrino, Omaha, Nebraska
• Lorna Minich, senior, Ada, Ohio
• Amy Neds, senior, Findlay, Ohio

I do not have words- this is just simply stunning! Matt, you should frame this! Enter this into a photography competition!! Thank you so much for sharing this with me!
