BMET Club Addison The Biomedical Engineering Club at Addison Campus

Biomedical Engineering is the application of engineering principles and design concepts to medicine and biology. This field seeks to close the gap between engineering and medicine: It combines the design and problem solving skills of engineering with medical and biological sciences to improve healthcare diagnosis, monitoring and therapy.

This Summer Session, make sure everyone is listening up for events on the Addison Campus and off the campus. There will be many opportunities to learn new things about the biomedical and clinical engineering career field. Also there will be events to meet people in the industry and network with them. Looking forward to seeing you all.

Please join us on Wednesday, May 30, 2012 from 11:30 to 1 pm in Room 208 at the Addison Campus for lunch. Our guest speaker, Al Moretti, a nationally recognized industry leader, will give an informative talk on Career Opportunities in Biomedical Engineering Technology/Clinical Engineering. Mr. Moretti is a DeVry University graduate whose twenty-six year career in the health care field includes academic, governmental and community hospital environments.

In addition to a great speaker, and a free lunch, we will also be electing two new BMET Club officers from our Addison campus students.
