Theta Chi Fraternity was founded by Frederick Norton Freeman and Arthur Chase at Norwich University in Norwich, Vermont on April 10, 1856. Today, it is one of the oldest men's fraternities in North America.

Last but certainly not least, we will be recognizing senior brother Chris Smith. Bro. Smith is from Saline, MI, and will be graduating with a bachelor’s in Teacher Education with a minor in Social Studies. During his time here at Adrian, Bro. Smith ran for the NCAA Cross Country and Track & Field teams and was apart of Mortar Board Honors Society, and Adrian College Aspiring Educators club. During his time here at Theta Chi, Bro Smith held numerous positions; Secretary, GI Theta Chi Chairman, Philanthropy Chairman, Social Chairman, Alumni & Neighborhood Relations Chairman, Fundraising Chairman, IFC Representative, IFC (Programing Chairman), Vice President of Heath and Safety, and President. Bro. Smith’s favorite memories included spending time with my brothers while enjoying my 4 years as an active. Specifically one memorable memory was going with 10 of my brothers down to New Orleans for the 174th national convention. Brother Smith will be dearly missed. L&R Bro. Smith.

Our next Senior Brother we will be recognizing is Brother Tyler Durkin. Bro. Durkin is from Erie, PA. Bro. Durkin will graduate with a Bachelor’s in management and minor in military science. Bro. Durkin was apart of the Esports team where he played in the national championship tournament and is in active service with ROTC where he was the battalion commander and got to spend time at Fort Bragg. Bro. Durkin was apart of the sports management club. Bro. Durkin served as chaplain, GI Theta Chi, and social chair. Bro. Durkin says his favorite memory’s include going to convention in New Orleans with the guys and getting his resolute man award as well as going to Las Vegas for the Super Bowl with other Brothers. Bro. Durkin will be dearly missed. L&R Bro. Durkin and we thank you for your service.

Our next senior brother we will be recognizing is Bro. Colton Hicks. Bro. Hicks is from Montpelier, Ohio. During his time at Adrian College Bro. Hicks played for the Club Baseball team. Bro. Hicks held the position of Treasurer, and says his favorite memory was the 60th.

Our next senior brother we will be recognizing is Brock Hudik. Bro. Hudik is from Berkey, Ohio, and will be graduating with a bachelor’s in sports management. While at Adrian Bro. Hudik played club baseball. Bro. Hudik served as first guard as well as chaplain. Some of his favorite memories include playing video games and watching movies all night with Colton sophomore year, as well as meeting Lindsay after a party in the composite room. Bro. Hudik will be dearly missed. L&R Bro. Hudik.

Our next senior Brother we will be recognizing is Bro. Kj Scott. Bro. Scott is from Addison, Michigan, and will be graduating with a Bachelor’s in Pre-Professional Exercise Science along with a minor in Leadership and Tactical Strength and Conditioning. Bro. Scott excelled in athletics, with numerous accomplishments such as First team all conference in Discus, 2nd team all conference in Weight throw, and all Region in Discus. Bro. Scott was also involved in Exercise Science Club, Younglife, and Brother to Brother. During Bro. Scott’s time here at Theta Chi he served as Marshal, Recruitment Chair, and Vice President. Bro. Scott’s favorite memory was watching the solar eclipse in the front yard with all the guys and friends! Bro. Scott will be severely missed. Love and Respect Bro. Scott

Our next senior we will be recognizing is Bro. Jimmy Oberman. Bro. Oberman is from Livonia, Michigan, and will be graduating with a Degree in Exercise Science and a Minor in Psychology. Bro. Oberman was apart of the NCAA Cross Country and Track & Field team, and was a member of Brother to Brother. During his time in Theta Chi Bro. Oberman served as recruitment chairmen and marshal. Some of Bro. Oberman’s favorite memories would be seeing all the alumni back for homecoming weekend and competing in Greek Week against the other Greek Life. Bro. Oberman will be missed dearly. Love and Respect Bro. Oberman.

It is that time again where we start to honor our senior brothers who will be graduating this spring. For our first senior spotlight post we have Bro. Ty Perin. Bro. Perin is from Hudson Michigan, while at Adrian College he perused Two Bachelor’s of Arts degrees, Geology and Environmental Studies. His favorite memories include Baseball, golf with the guys, living in house. Bro. Perin served as VPHS and played NCBA baseball. Bro. Perin presence will be dearly missed. L&R Bro. Perin.

This Theta Thursday’s brother of the week is Easton Mendenhall. Easton is a sophomore AT major from Wyandotte, MI who runs on the track team, he also serves as our Chaplain. Congratulations Easton, and best of luck this semester!
