Commencement 2026 is Saturday! We are so excited to celebrate the incredible achievements of our August 2025, December 2025, and May 2026 graduates. ☔️Please note that due to weather the event has moved to the Fieldhouse for everyone's safety.

To ensure a smooth and memorable experience for our graduates, families, and friends, please take note of the following schedule and location details for Saturday, May 9, 2026.

🔵Commencement Day Schedule
9:00 – 10:00 AM: Baccalaureate Mass (St. Dominic Chapel)
10:30 – 11:30 AM: Kente Ceremony (St. Dominic Chapel)
11:00 AM – 1:00 PM: Graduation Reception (University Center)
12:00 PM: Graduate Check-in opens (Benincasa)
1:00 PM: Seating area opens for guests (Fieldhouse)
1:30 PM: Graduates must be in line inside Benincasa
1:50 PM: Procession begins from Benincasa to Fieldhouse
2:00 PM: All-University Commencement Ceremony (Expected end time: 5:00 PM)

🔵Location & Logistics
Venue: Due to the threat of storms, we have made the decision to move the ceremony indoors for everyone's safety. The ceremony will now be held in the Fieldhouse where we've hosted this event in previous years. In case of overflow, the Music Hall in the Performing Arts Center will be live streaming the event.

Parking: Parking lots open at 8:00 AM. To assist with traffic flow, please follow directional signs:
Traffic heading East: Directed to West Fieldhouse, Dominican & Performing Arts, and Addison Street Fairgrounds lots.
Traffic heading West: Directed to Adrian Dominican Motherhouse and the Siena Heights Drive Fairground entrance.

Handicapped Parking: Available to the East Fieldhouse lot. Look for signage.

Tonight we are hosting an evening of recognition and celebration. Individuals supporting Siena Heights over the years will be recognized with Honorary Degrees, Service Awards, and the Siena Medal.

At Siena Heights, sustainability and community go hand-in-hand. This , we’re reflecting on a cherished, longstanding tradition: Sister Carmie Day. 🌿

For years, our Saints have come together to honor the legacy of Sister Carmelia O’Connor, OP, whose mission was not only to keep the campus beautiful but also to build a stronger community among faculty, staff, students, and administrators. From tidying garden beds to refreshing our grounds, it’s a true team effort to get our home looking its best!
