The Geauga County Sheriff's Office is mourning the loss of one of their beloved K-9s. K9 Ash suffered an emergency medical condition on Thursday evening. Ash, born January 4, 2022, served the citizens of Geauga County alongside with his handler, Deputy Michael Wilson, since 2023. Deputy Wilson and K9 Ash excelled in patrol work and were well known among the community. K9 Ash's friendliness and calm demeanor will be missed by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him. The deputies of Geauga County, Sheriff Hildenbrand, and Deputy Wilson's training group all express their sorrow for the loss of his great partner.

Cremation services have been volunteered by Trusted Journey in Grafton, Ohio. We thank them for their kind offering.
