Our sisters won big at UA’s LIFE Awards! 🌟

The LIFE Awards celebrate UA students and organizations who exemplify leadership, involvement, scholarship, service, and excellence across campus. These awards honor the students who are making a difference in the UA community through their dedication, passion, and commitment to leadership both inside and outside of the classroom.

Megan McCracken received both the Outstanding Sophomore Award and the A-Key Blue Award! The Outstanding Sophomore Award recognizes one student who demonstrate exemplary academic achievement, leadership, involvement, and campus awareness during their second year at UA. Megan was also honored with the A-Key Blue Award, presented to undergraduate students who demonstrate active campus involvement alongside academic success. Within ADPi, Megan serves as our Director of New Member Education. Her involvement continues beyond ADPi, where she is involved in Undergraduate Student Government as the Vice Senate Chair and Senator for the College of Engineering & Polymer Science, American Society of Civil Engineers where she serves as President, Elevate, College of Engineering and Polymer Science Dean’s Team, Gamma Sigma Alpha, Rho Lambda, AK-ROWDIES, Williams Honors College, and UA Ambassadors.

Kylie Cameron received the Richard L. Hansford NRHH Pillar Award! This award recognizes one student who demonstrates the pillars of the National Residence Hall Honorary: service, advocacy, recognition, and leadership. Within ADPi, Kylie serves as our Vice President of Marketing and on the Collegiate Advisory Committee for Alpha Delta Pi Executive Office. Her involvement continues beyond ADPi, where she is involved in the Panhellenic Council as President, Undergraduate Student Government as the Director of Communications and on the University Council Communications Committee, Sorority Social Media as the Vice President of Collaboration & Outreach, the Office of Academic & Retention Support as a Peer Mentor, the Department of Student Life as a Social Media & Marketing Student Assistant & Administrative Desk Student Assistant, Rho Lambda, and the Williams Honors College.

Senior Spotlight: Jordyn Salvatore, Fall 2022 💌

Positions Jordyn Held: Director of New Member Experience (aka Alpha Mom), Vice President of Membership Experience, & Director of Philanthropy

Jordyn’s Future Plans: I will be working as a Nurse in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Akron Children’s Hospital!

Jordyn’s Fav Memories: Living in the chapter house with my best friends, there was never a dull moment! When Liam Payne died, I walked into the formal living room to find half my sisters crying and the other half trying not to laugh at them. Decorating for the holidays while blasting Christmas music and watching the 2024 solar eclipse on the lawn are also memories of living in the house that I cherish!

What Jordyn will miss most about ADPi: All the little moments! Late nights at the chapter house, getting ready together for events, Bella forcing Grace and I to watch Love Is Blind in the back living room. Simply being in the same place with the women who have become my family over the past four years has been incredibly special. I will remember these moments for the rest of my life!

Senior Spotlight: Kate McCabe, Fall 2022 💌

Positions Kate Held: Vice President of Panhellenic Relations & Director of DEI/Wellness Specialist

Kate’s Future Plans: I will be attending Akron Law in the fall!

Kate’s Fav Memories: I always loved recruitment. It is so rewarding to recruit girls who love ADPi as much as I do and see them grow in the chapter! Also getting my little Sarah!

What Kate will miss most about ADPi: I’m going to miss the day to day things that come with being in a sorority. Like going to meeting on Sunday and seeing everyone or a random weekday event that brings us all together. It’s been so special to have a place that brings us all back to each other. This sisterhood is so special and I’m going to miss seeing everyone day to day.

Senior Spotlight: Isabella Hileman, Spring 2024 💌

Positions Isabella Held: Director of New Member Education, Wellness Specialist, & Director of Inclusion

Isabella’s Future Plans: After I pass my NCLEX, I plan on working as a NICU nurse at Akron Children’s Hospital. I’m super excited to start my career caring for newborns and their families during such an important time. When I’m not working, I’m looking forward to traveling, exploring new places, and soaking up as much free time as I can.

Isabella’s Fav Memories: My favorite memories from ADPi are from Loyalty Week—staying late, spending time with my sisters, and really getting the chance to connect with everyone in a different way. Getting Tessa as my big and Amelia as my little were also some of the best parts of my experience.

What Isabella will miss most about ADPi: What I’ll miss most about ADPi is all the time with my sisters—late nights, random plans, and laughing over the smallest things. It’s those simple everyday moments together that made sorority life so special, and what I’ll always look back on the most.
