👶 Nurturing Parenting Class

Parents and caregivers are invited to participate in a free two-part class focused on practical tools for building strong, healthy relationships with their children. Topics will include positive communication, managing stress and big emotions, creating a safe and nurturing home environment, and supporting healthy growth and development.

💼 Community Health Worker/Home Visitor Opportunities

Ben Archer Health Center is also hiring Community Health Workers/Home Visitors in Alamogordo. These positions work with pregnant and parenting families through home visits, health education, community resources, and social support.

Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED, a current New Mexico driver’s license, a clear background check, and a clean driving record. Scholarship opportunities, competitive salaries, and benefits are available.

We’re calling on NMSU-A departments to put their creativity and Halloween spirit to the test! Faculty and staff are invited to team up with their department to carve, paint, decorate, or design a pumpkin for our campus-wide competition.

🎃 Want your department to participate? Sign up by Monday, October 19 at 12 PM.

🗳️ Student voting will take place October 28–29, when our students will choose their favorite department creation!

🏆 The winning pumpkin will be announced October 30.

Our guest speaker, Raul Robles, Undersheriff with the Otero County Sheriff’s Office, will share his personal perspective and experiences shaped by his Hispanic upbringing, career in law enforcement, and commitment to serving the community.
