Furthering important research!

The State University of New York at Buffalo has been awarded a five-year, $5.5 million grant by the National Institutes of Health to UB’s National Crystallization Center, which will help structural biology research. This will ensure University at Buffalo will have access to state-of-the-art technology, understand diseases, and turn the research to real-life treatments.

The NIH has awarded the National Crystallization Center a five-year, $5.5 million award so that it can continue to advance pioneering research in the field of structural biology.

Through increased state funding, there will be an expansion of programs to assist students, including foster youth and formerly homeless students, with basic needs support as the Fall Semester starts. This will help ensure the students remain enrolled and complete their studies.

Making amazing discoveries!

Researchers from the State University of New York at Albany (University at Albany) have been trying to see dark matter, and they believe an unexplainable event might be their answer. Through a submitted paper they hope to continue the dark matter conversation in this new direction.

Cecilia Levy may have seen the wind. On her hunt for dark matter, she and 250 other researchers have come upon an intriguing anomaly.

Giving back and gaining experience 💙�

Through the Empire State Service Corps, 1,000 SUNY students are serving their communities while building valuable skills for their future careers. From food pantries to childcare centers, they're helping meet local needs across New York State.

With the first week of classes under their belts, some students across SUNY campuses will begin a paid community service program. The Empire State Service Corps launched in 2024 and matches students to community service organizations that are seeing the greatest need.
