Bangladesh Students Association at UAlbany Established in 2014,Bangladesh Student Association at UAlbany is an association of Bengali elites at University at Albany (State University of New York).

BSA UAlbany (BSA UA) is established based on online service and currently run by the student volunteers.It was conceptualized to portray, nurture, uphold and propagate the cultural essence and heritage of Bangladesh.We are preparing to organize a number of cultural events each year including the celebration of Pahela Baishakh (April 14) (Bengali New Year), celebration of International Mother Langu

age Day (February 21), Day of Independence (March 26), and Victory Day (December 16) to uphold the secular spirit. Besides, we would like to arrange summer campaign, re-union party, BBQ in different natural and lucrative places. We strongly encourage all the students at UAlbany to stay connected with it.

Former UAlbany student and proud alumnus Omar Yaghi has been awarded the Nobel Prize in Chemistry for his groundbreaking development of metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) — a major achievement transforming materials science!

One of UAlbany’s many successful immigrant students, Professor Yaghi now teaches at UC Berkeley.
