Our freshmen crew took a trip to the Midwest for two contests hosted by Connors State College & Hutchinson Community College. Thank you to Urban Livestock, University of Arkansas, Cody Meeks and McCurry Angus for the workouts! It was a great learning opportunity for our team members and we look forward to working hard heading into the summer/fall seasons.

Our sophomores finished up their final stretch of their juco career by competing in two Texas contests.
At the end of February they competed at the San Antonio Livestock Show in a very high quality contest. Thank you to 5-5 River Bend Farm & Ranch/Charles Seidensticker for educating us on the Dorper breed and to the SALE contest coordinators for a great workout/contest. We then ended in Houston for the last major contest of the year. While we didn’t end as strongly as we were hoping, we are proud of our young people who worked so hard the last two years. Thank you to everyone who hosted teams for workouts: V8 Ranches, BRC Brahmans, Trademark Genetics, Kennedy- Robertson Livestock, Matt McKinley, Collin Listen, Riggin Barham, and Texas A&M Animal Science. After attending our first week of school, our sophomores were headed to Oklahoma City for the Cattlemen’s Congress then to Denver for the National Western. Both contests were very high quality and the results show the depth of talent in the 2025- 2026 Junior College class. We appreciate all who are involved with putting these events together! After eight days on the road we are grateful for these opportunities and look forward to having our fellow teammates back in the van.
