Heather Amaral is a 2013 SCC Graduate with an Annie Ruth Kelley Associate Degree in Nursing and is now a 2018 Duke University graduate as an Adult-Geriatric Nurse Practitioner! Heather states that after her success in the Stanly Community College ADN program she felt a strong desire to continue pursuing a higher education and that she was highly encouraged and supported by the ADN faculty to do so. One of Heather's most memorable moments at SCC was her pinning night. She said it was a time that she celebrated what she had once thought was impossible and where she felt a great sense of pride for all that she had accomplished!
