👩‍🏫 New Program at Stanly Community College!

Launch your career in School Age Education this fall at Stanly Community College and make a meaningful impact in the lives of children.

Prepare for rewarding work in before-and-after school programs, summer camps, and enrichment settings while building the skills to support and inspire school-age learners. Our program offers degree and certificate options with coursework in child growth and development, educational technology, physical and nutritional health, child guidance, and family communication.

Students will be prepared for careers as school-age teachers in licensed childcare settings, paraprofessionals in public and private schools, recreation programs, and a variety of youth-serving environments.

📚 Fall Courses Include:
• Intro to School Age Care
• Classroom Management and Instruction
• School Age Admin I
• School Age Admin II

We recently celebrated a historic moment with the first-ever induction ceremony for the SCC chapter of the National Adult Education Honor Society!

Students selected for this honor were nominated by their instructors for demonstrating dedication, academic achievement, dependable attendance, a positive and cooperative attitude, and a strong work ethic.
