Delta Sig recently honored brother Tom Roeser (Purdue, '70) with our Career Achievement Award. Tom is president of OTTO Engineering, which makes switches and communications gear, and he is leaving a lasting impact on his community, one that has been hard-hit by the economy. Under Tom's leadership, OTTO has purchased hundreds of foreclosed homes in Carpentersville, Illinois; renovated them; then sold or rented them at low costs to residents. In his life and business, Tom is a shining example of The Better Man.

Interesting fact of the day!

If ΔΣΦ's Coat-of-Arms is one of the most recognizable insignia of the Fraternity, why is it so rarely called a "Coat-of-Arms?"

Designed by Robert Ashley, Washington & Lee '07 (a former National President and Editor of the Carnation), this Coat-of-Arms was authorized by the Fraternity at the 1921 Convention in Raleigh, North Carolina. The mighty Sphinx rests atop the crest of the shield--"Crest," meaning top or pinnacle.
