Tomorrow is Fall Showcase Day! Who's excited!
In addition to students' poster judging and engaging presentations from the College of Business's Bark Tank, CORE is excited to welcome four distinguished LSUA alumni to our Fall Showcase Alumni Career Panel tomorrow, Dec. 3, at 10:30 AM in the Brumfield Caffrey Ballroom. Here's a little bit about each of our panelists:
Kellie Belgard, RPh -- From supervising the LSUA bookstore to managing a pharmacy, Kellie Belgard’s journey has been all about learning, leadership, and a passion for helping others. She received her Bachelor of Science in Biology from LSUA in 2020 and later earned her Doctor of Pharmacy from ULM in 2024. Whether she was helping students find the right textbook or guiding them through tricky anatomy concepts as a supplemental instructor at LSUA, Kellie discovered her passion for connecting with people and making complex information easier to understand. Those early experiences paved the way for her success as a pharmacist, where patient counseling and clear communication are key.
Haley Lowry -- Haley Lowry is a dedicated higher education professional with strong ties to central Louisiana. After returning from 13 years in Houston, she enrolled at LSUA in 2016 as a non-traditional student, balancing academics with work as a student employee in the Bolton Library and Registrar’s Office. Her perseverance led to a full-time role in the Registrar’s Office in 2020, and she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Communication in Fall 2022. Haley later served as a professional advisor for the College of Social Science and, as of August 2025, proudly serves as Student Records System Manager in the Office of the Registrar.
Amanda Phillips - Amanda Phillips, a proud LSUA alumna, earned her BLS in English with a theatre emphasis in 2009. A former Bolton High School English teacher and two-time Teacher of the Year, she now owns Tamp & Grind Coffee, leading a team of fifteen and curating community programs such as poetry nights, live music, and literary events. Amanda has served on the Alexandria Museum of Art Board and currently serves on the Arts Council of Central Louisiana Board. A continuing performer with PlayOn Theatre Company, she is deeply committed to fostering local arts and creating spaces where the community can connect and thrive.
LaMona S. Wallace, M.A - LaMona S. Wallace, M.A. is an Administrative Assistant at LSU-Alexandria and an active member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated. She chairs the LSUA Honors Convocation Committee. LaMona is a dedicated advocate for student success and community engagement, with multiple awards recognizing her leadership and service. She holds a Master’s in Higher Education Administration from LSU-Baton Rouge and a Bachelor's in criminal justice from LSUA. She resides in Alexandria, LA, where she enjoys time with her sorority sisters and grandchildren.
