🟠 Farewell to Frank Cirioni

Last month, our Associate Regional Coordinator Frank Cirioni stepped down from his PTK role because of a move to another state/region. His drive, humor, and unwavering commitment to our members, our advisors, and our alumni created quite an impact, and we will miss him greatly. He asked that I share the following with you in this update:

"The Virginia/West Virginia Region has the best people: expert faculty, dedicated staff, and the most amazing student scholars in the Commonwealth. It is the people that make PTK and the region special, and I will miss each of you so very much.

My last day at Germanna [was] Friday, September 12, 2025. On October 1st, I will begin a new chapter serving as the Vice President for Student Life at Berea College in Kentucky.

If you would like to stay in touch, my personal e-mail is [email protected] and we can also connect on LinkedIn.

I wish you, the VCCS, and the region all the best, and I thank you for being a part of my Germanna journey."

Frank, we wish you the absolute best as you begin this new chapter in your life! ❤️

🟠 Golden Opportunity Scholarship Now Open

The Golden Opportunity Scholarship is PTK’s membership fee waiver designed to increase access to the benefits of membership by helping students pay for membership when they cannot afford it otherwise. This fee waiver puts membership within reach for 300 college students per award period, thanks to the generosity of Phi Theta Kappa advisors, members, alumni, donors, and friends.

If a potential member needs this financial assistance, you can nominate the student here. Nominations are accepted until October 14. Those who receive this scholarship will be notified beginning on September 30 (while the nomination window remains open and until it closes).
