PARKING LOT CLOSURES - FOOTBALL GAME
Parking Lots 20 and 20A (near Pioneer Stadium) will be closed beginning at 4:00 PM on Friday, September 4, and will remain closed through the conclusion of the football game and tailgating festivities.
If you are traveling or leaving a vehicle on campus for the weekend, please make sure your vehicle is moved out of Lots 20 and 20A before you leave campus.
Students may park in any open student parking lots over the weekend. However, all vehicles must be returned to their appropriate STUDENT PARKING areas by 7:00 AM Monday morning.
Upcoming Parking Closures:
September 11 – Additional closure in the stadium area
September 22 – Large-scale parking closure for the Fall Career Fair and Homecoming festivities
Please continue to check back for additional parking updates and closure information.
⚠️ ENFORCEMENT:
Vehicles remaining in closed parking lots or entering a closed lot after the posted closure time are subject to enforcement, up to and including towing at the owner's expense.

Student Vehicle Registration and Parking Pass Pickup

1. Register Online:
Register your vehicle online approx. 24 hrs. before coming to UPD.
https://www.alfredstate.edu/university-police/parking-campus/parking-registration
Do not register in person unless necessary.
Military Veteran registration must be done in person. You will need to provide the proper paperwork and/or ID.

2. Pick Up Your Pass:
Passes are located at the University Police Department - UPD is on Lower College Drive near the SLC and the Townhouses
Passes can be picked up inside the station at anytime, as UPD is open 24/7/365. (Yes, you can pick up your pass on your first day of class!)
Wellsville Campus (COMMUTERS only): Pick up your pass at the Wellsville Campus starting Monday, August 31. Please visit the Alfred Campus if you need your pass sooner.

3. Important Rules and Deadlines:
Deadline: Register all vehicles by Friday, September 2.
Where to park: Use only designated student parking areas.
Where not to park: Do not park in Faculty and Staff spaces on either campus.

Welcome, Pioneers!

We have an important update regarding student parking.

The college has transitioned to one unified student parking system. Effective immediately, all students—whether living on campus or commuting—are required to park in designated Student Parking areas.
The parking rules for Faculty & Staff (F/S) areas remain unchanged. Students are not permitted to park in Faculty & Staff, Visitor, or Future Pioneer parking spaces.

The New York State University Police at Alfred State proudly welcomed our newest officer, Colin Fest, during a swearing-in ceremony.

Officer Fest officially took the oath of office, marking the beginning of his career serving and protecting the Alfred State campus community. We are excited to have him join our team and look forward to the dedication, professionalism, and commitment he will bring to the department.

As July came to a close, we said farewell to two outstanding members of our department as they retired after long and dedicated careers.

Lieutenant Scott Bingham retired after more than 30 years of faithful service, and Officer Melinda Rounds retired after 23 years of dedicated service.

Their commitment, professionalism, and countless contributions have made a lasting impact on our department and the communities they served. We are grateful for their years of service and the example they set for those who will follow.

Please join us in congratulating Lt. Scott Bingham and Officer Melinda Rounds on their well-earned retirements. We thank them for their dedication and wish them both many years of happiness, good health, and success in this exciting new chapter.
