✈️ From public art and architecture to placemaking and visual storytelling, creative professionals play an important role in shaping how we experience public spaces.

We're especially excited to see RMU Media Arts faculty member Carolina Loyola-Garcia featured as a speaker during this upcoming Public Art Exchange (PAX) event exploring the Terminal Modernization Program at Pittsburgh International Airport.

Hear from artists, architects, and arts leaders involved in one of the region's most significant public projects:

• Keny Marshall, Manager, Arts & Culture Program
• Renee Piechocki, Art Consultant
• Adam Kuby, Artist
• Carolina Loyola-Garcia, RMU Media Arts Professor and Artist
• Colby Campbell, Architect, Gensler

📅 Thursday, June 25
🕧 12:30–1:30 p.m.
🎟️ Free, registration required

And here's a fun fact: Pittsburgh International Airport was recently recognized as one of the World's Most Beautiful Airports by the Paris-based Prix Versailles.

We love seeing our faculty contributing their expertise to important conversations about art, design, architecture, and the future of public spaces in our region.

🎞️ Throwback Thursday 🎞️

Looking back at a special afternoon at the Row House Cinema celebrating the incredible animation work being created by Robert Morris University students.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for this showcase of some of RMU's best animation projects and helped support the next generation of animators and storytellers.

This screening was made possible through the financial assistance of the ASIFA-Hollywood Animation Educators Forum 2019 Faculty Grant.

Before publication comes collaboration.

The Rune has long provided a space for RMU students to share their creative work—from poetry and fiction to photography, illustration, and design. Behind every issue is a dedicated team of student editors, designers, writers, and artists working together to bring these voices to the page.

Here's a look back at one of RMU's longest-running creative traditions.

Before there were selfies, there were installation photos. 📸

Can anyone identify these two exhibition installers caught in the act of measuring, leveling, and making art look its best?

Bonus points if you know what exhibition they were working on!
