On June 4th, Sigma Pi Britain Connor Wells and Australian native Nick Snowden will stand face to face with Mount Everest for underprivileged children in Nepal. The team will trek the hostile Himalayan terrain to reach Base Camp where oxygen is scarce at an altitude of 17,598 feet.
The duo have partnered with United World Schools, a charity that build networks to sink every dime into providing free education for poor and destitute children in Nepal. If all children in low-income countries achieved basic reading skills, 171 million people could be lifted out of poverty. Due to the poor provision of basic education there are 774 million illiterate adults in the world today.
Please support Connor and Nick in their trek and by donating via the link below. Give something back to a world that’s given us so much.
We as college students CAN make a difference in this world. Together we can do our part to unlock a country’s potential for economic growth, good health, gender equality and peace. All donations go direct to the charity.
