Just like that recruitment has come and gone!Welcome home to our Fall 2020 class and our Rho Gamma girls! We added 20 new members to our chapter on Monday. This years recruitment was a big change but everyone adapted and what a fantastic group of new girls we got in the process🤍

The start of school was definitely different this year but we are all so excited to be back! This week was the beginning of recruitment and we absolutely loved talking to everyone💜

We, as Epsilon Gamma, have taken many days to thoughtfully consider how we wish to address the unjust deaths in the black community of the United States. We’ve been relatively silent on social media as we reflect upon how to take action to make a positive impact. We believe that action is critical to this movement. Before making a statement, we wanted to ensure that we had the resources to provide to our members. We are working to compile a list of resources and places to donate, and we are planning educational systems for our organization. We are also planning fundraising and advocacy events so we can live out loud as Women of Character. This is just the beginning of our action plan. Going forward, we will collaborate with sisters to implement educational programs. We will provide resources to our sisters about subjects relating to racial discrimination, racial injustice, implicit bias training, and other inclusivity programs. We stand with people of color. No one should have to live their lives in fear. As empowered women, we will take a stand as a chapter to fight injustice. Although many of us may never understand what it means to be discriminated against, we support all efforts to end these prejudices.

"Where the Crawdads Sing" by Delia Owens was the first book of the year for Book Club! Book club had a great time discussing their theories, characters and plot points this month; can't wait for next month!
