West Michigan Teacher Collaborative Ensuring all students get an excellent education by inspiring, developing and retaining the next generation of teachers.

An initiative of school districts throughout Kent, Muskegon and Ottawa Area ISDs in partnership with GVSU. The mission of West Michigan Teacher Collaborative is to ensure all students in Kent, Muskegon and Ottawa Area ISD’s have excellent teachers. We seek to be a model of high-quality educator preparation and development who reflect the rich diversity of our students. We believe great teachers can dramatically impact the lives of students, families and the communities they serve.

We are now accepting applications for our Residency program.

Have a bachelor's degree and want to teach in West Michigan? This program is for you! Our Residency program includes student teaching in a public school and a stipend of up to $20,000 along with waived tuition, books and fees for program participants.

West Michigan Teacher Collaborative is looking for an Administrative Assistant of Grants and Operations to support the day-to-day systems, communication, grant tracking, and operational work that helps move our mission forward.

This role is a great fit for someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, collaborative, and passionate about supporting educators and school communities across West Michigan.
