Today is the six-year anniversary of the Bostock v. Clayton County supreme court ruling in 2020, which granted anti-discrimination employment protection for LGBTQ+ people on the basis of sexual orientation and gender identity.

The plaintiff, Gerald Bostock, was fired from his job working for Clayton County, Georgia after joining a gay softball league and promoting it at work. His case was consolidated with and heard alongside two other cases, one concerning discrimination against trans people in the workplace. The Supreme Court's decision covered all three cases.

Today is 10 years since the 2016 Pulse nightclub shooting in Orlando, Florida. Pulse was hosting "Latin Night", a weekly Saturday event predominantly attended by Latinos.

We mark this day to remember and grieve the 49 people killed in this tragedy, and to acknowledge the impact it continues to have on the LGBTQ+ and Latine communities. Pulse Nightclub was demolished this past March to make way for a permanent memorial tribute to be completed by 2027.

Celebrating all our pan folks today! 🩷💛🩵

Pansexuality is a sexual orientation not limited by gender. Instead, it is the capacity to be attracted to all genders, including non-binary and gender-expansive people. Panromantic is the same, but for romantic attraction specifically.

Today is Harvey Milk Day! Harvey was the first openly gay person elected to California public office in 1977, where he served as a San Francisco city supervisor. He was assassinated in 1978.

On Harvey Milk Day, we both remember and educate about Harvey's life and work as an activist for LGBTQIA+ people in California and beyond. The fight to end discrimination against our community continues.

May 19 is Agender Pride Day! This day was first recognized in 2017, soon after the state of Oregon legally offered the "X" option for gender when applying for driver's licenses or state ID cards.
