Please join us for the Sue Curry Jansen Honors Lecture with Susan Robinson on Tuesday, October 1, 2024 at 7 pm in Moyer Miller Forum.
In this talk, Dr. Susan Robinson, Professor of Journalism at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, shares ideas derived from the applied research she has done over the last two decades with newsrooms and communities on transforming journalism. She proposes a theory of trust building through what she calls “identity-aware care” and reports on how the implementation of this kind of journalism has fared in the real world. This will be an optimistic talk, one that offers us all a path forward to thriving public discourse.
This lecture is supported by the Media & Communication Department and the College Lectures & Forum Committee
