Delta Kappa Alpha Boston University A National, Professional, Gender-Inclusive Cinema Fraternity: Cinematic Artists of Character

Beta Chapter - Boston University
Re-founded in 2013

Interested in lifelong membership in a national family of cinematic artists with excellent character? Delta Kappa Alpha is a national, co-ed, professional cinematic fraternity with a wonderful and cooperative culture. Established March 16, 1936, the purpose of Delta Kappa Alpha is to foster lifelong character, collaborative and creative storytelling, ethical and productive business practices, phil

anthropic action, and fraternal bonds by and between students of the cinematic arts. DKA is unique in the sense that DKA is focused on involving students who have a passion for the cinematic arts for life, creating an outstanding support system for graduates. We welcome all students and majors, be it an ENG major who wants to produce, a CAS student who wants to act, or an SMG student who wants to work in entertainment and media when they graduate! Prominent alumni include: Steven Spielberg, George Lucas, Lucille Ball, Alfred Hitchcock, Julie Andrews, and many more. DKA has been represented at media companies across the globe including HBO, Warner Brothers, Sony, Disney, and many more. We even had Grease director and DKA member Randal Kleiser make an appearance at our National Convention and speak with college members about working on set, directing a musical, and collaborating with John Travolta. Undergraduate and graduate students, film majors or otherwise, all students passionate about any aspect of the cinematic arts are welcome!

Want to learn more about DKA and what this upcoming semester will look like? DKA is apart of the COM Virtual Fair this year where we will share a little bit about what our organization is about as well as what to look forward to if you plan on rushing for the Spring semester. After introductions, DKA will have a public Zoom breakout room from 3-4pm to answer any and all questions! We hope to see you there.

Here is the general link of all the organizations where you can find our breakout link:
