Congratulations Teen Court Scholarship Recipients!

Tori Creighton, the recipient of the $500 scholarship, is a three-year member of the Buffalo/Pepin County Teen Court program from the Alma Area High School. During her time on the panel, Tori led several hearings, participated in two mock hearings at 8th grade days, and supported incoming teen court panel members. Tori wrote that-” The values of compassion and empathy were needed during my time on Teen Court and will have a direct impact on my future career as a Registered Nurse, as you need to use these same values with the patients I will care”. Tori is the daughter of Chris and Brenda Creighton. She plans to attend University of Wisconsin – Oshkosh to pursue Nursing.

Nicole Walker, the recipient of the $250 scholarship, is a three-year member of the Buffalo/Pepin County Teen Court program from the Alma Area High School. She has engaged in many hearings and has coached incoming panel members. Nicole wrote that being involved in Buffalo/Pepin Teen Court “has allowed me to grow my confidence and be more comfortable with difficult situations”. Nicole is the daughter of Joseph and Elizabeth Walker. She plans to attend Minnesota State College Southeast to pursue a career in Cosmetology.

Braiden Graner, the recipient of the $250 scholarship, is a three-year member of the Buffalo/Pepin County Teen Court Program from Alma Area High School. He has engaged in many hearings and participated in two mock hearings at 8th grade days. Graner says that the Buffalo/Pepin Teen Court Program has a positive impact on his community by “giving people the opportunity to repair relationships with parents, neighbors, teachers, friends, or anyone else who was affected”. Braiden is the son of Pete and Stephanie Graner and plans to major in Liberal Arts- Associate of Science at Chippewa Valley Technical College in the fall.

The 2026 scholarships were supported in part by contributions from many generous contributors from across Buffalo and Pepin Counties.

The 2026 4-H Livestock Showmanship Clinic is being hosted by the Doug and Patty George family at their farm. The clinic will include information about how to exhibit sheep, beef, swine, and goats in the ring as well as how to prepare them for the show. Animal nutrition information will also be presented.

⏰ 5:45pm Registration, 6:00pm Clinic

📍 George Family Farm–N5932 Albany O, Mondovi WI

Open to all youth. Non-4-H participants must have the Agreement for Assumption of Risk form signed by a parent/guardian and bring to the event registration. Download the Agreement for Assumption of Risk form on the Wisconsin 4-H website.

Youth that are not enrolled 4-H members must be accompanied by an adult that will provide custodial care. Adults are encouraged to attend with 4-H members as well.

Hands on interactive training is available, appropriate footwear is required to participate. No sandals or open toed shoes allowed.

This clinic qualifies as one of the animal educational requirements for the fair. This clinic will NOT fulfill the required YQCA online course that needs to be completed by July 1. Complete the Meat Animal Educational Credit google form after attending this event to receive credit.

Registration Deadline: June 19, 2026.

Please DO NOT bring animals to this clinic. Animals are provided by the George family for demonstration.
