How are you preparing for the SAT and ACT?

Edison Prep's SAT and ACT classes remain the single most popular option that students choose for preparation. Some students do the class by itself, while others will do the class before their first SAT/ACT exam, followed by a small amount of 1-on-1 tutoring before the second exam if needed.

FSU’s admissions statistics are up across the board. ”This year’s admitted students make up the most academically accomplished class in Florida State’s history. The middle 50% of students admitted for Fall 2022 had a core GPA of 4.3 – 4.6, an ACT composite score of 29 – 32, and an SAT total score of 1300 – 1430. Admitted students have taken an average of 9 AP, IB, AICE, or dual-enrollment courses while in high school, and 79% of the admitted students earned all A & B grades. The top three areas of study for admitted students were business, biological science and engineering.”

For all those waiting for UGA decisions, the annual analysis by Edison Prep is definitely worth a read. I would look for the UGA decisions in the portals somewhere around 4:05 pm - 4:30 pm (a tighter window than in this analysis). I guess we will see. In about two hours, you will know your decision. Whatever the decision is, remember that you did your best, it does not define you, and it all works out in the end.

Over the last year and a half, I have had the pleasure of working with a conscientious group of students who were invested in their classes, passionate about their interests, and active in their communities despite an unexpected pandemic that changed our world. I won't recount the losses, but I will acknowledge that I heard the anxiety of uncertainty, the frustration of cancellations, and the sadness that comes with unique and hard-earned opportunities missed. Through it all, they persevered!

Collectively, they submitted over 263 applications, and that doesn’t even include the film, music, honors, and scholarship applications, which required several more hours of essay writing, filmmaking, auditioning, and interviewing. Through their hard work and dedication, they received numerous acceptances to colleges and honors programs as well as thousands of dollars in scholarships.
