The WOSC Foundation, Inc., is proud to recognize The Kiwanis Club of Altus as a Gold Legacy Donor to our Centennial Legacy Campaign!

The Kiwanis Club of Altus has been part of Western’s story for decades, playing an instrumental role in the fundraising efforts to purchase the land where our campus stands today. Since 1970, Western has continued to grow and serve generations of students, and we are grateful that the club continues to support our College and its students.

As we celebrate 100 years of Western, we are especially thankful for partners like Kiwanis who have helped shape our past and continue to invest in our future. Thank you for your longstanding commitment to Western and for helping us build a legacy that will benefit students for generations to come!

Cue the FIREWORKS! We are excited to announce that we have reached our milestone goal of raising $100,000 for the Centennial Legacy! We could not have done this without the support of our community, alumni, faculty, staff, and partners. Your generosity will make a lasting impact for the next 100 years!

Western Oklahoma State College is proud to welcome Nicholas Cavin and Christina Stewart as our newest President’s Partners!

Nick and Christina’s connection to Western runs deep. Both are Western alumni and longtime members of the Western family. Nick worked full-time at Western for many years and now works for FlightSafety in Altus while continuing to serve Western part-time. Christina has been part of Western for eight years and serves as Executive Assistant to the President and Vice President for Academic Affairs.

Their Western story is also a personal one. Nick and Christina met in 2020 while working at Western, and today, Christina’s son, Lucas, is a senior at Altus High School taking concurrent classes at Western with plans to continue his education here.

“Western has been a huge part of our lives, and we wanted to find a way to give back to the college that has given so much to us.”

President Chad Wiginton said Nick and Christina have faithfully supported Western in countless ways, noting that they are often “the first to volunteer, the first to show up and the last to leave.”

Their decision to become President’s Partners is another way they are investing in the college they love and helping ensure Western continues to provide opportunities for generations of students.

Thank you, Nick and Christina, for your commitment to Western and Pioneer Pride! 💚
