Growth continues in Northwestern Oklahoma State University’s Wisdom Family Foundation Doctor of Nursing Practice program, and concurrent enrollment continues to show positive numbers. First-time freshman enrollment remained relatively stable.

Affordability and personalized learning remain central to the Northwestern experience, with 62 percent of Northwestern undergraduates leaving college with no debt. With a 16:1 student-to-faculty ratio, Rangers also benefit from opportunities to engage with professors, ask questions and receive individual attention in the classroom.

“We provide a great education to our students, and we’ll continue to provide this at an affordable cost showing others that they have a home here, too,” said Dr. Bo Hannaford, Northwestern president.

High school seniors can attend Ranger Preview on Oct. 31 and receive a $600 scholarship. To become a Ranger, email [email protected].

It’s National Boss Day, and our Division of Nursing is blessed to have one of the best! Our Chair, Dr. Leslie Collins, leads all of our nursing programs with steadfast dedication and vision. We are deeply grateful for her guidance and the example she sets for faculty and students alike.

Our nursing and pre-nursing students showed up in full spirit for this year's Homecoming Parade. From the float to the cheers along the route, they brought the energy and Ranger pride. Ride, Rangers, Ride! 🎉❤️🖤

Last week, nursing students partnered with the Woods County Health Department to administer flu shots at the Wellness Center on the Alva campus. We are proud of them for taking time out of their busy schedules to keep our communities healthy. Don't forget to get your flu shots and stay healthy this cold and flu season!

Our senior nursing students enjoyed attending the Stillwater Medical Critical Care Conference in Stillwater today. It was a great opportunity to learn and build on the concepts they are learning in their critical care course this semester!

We're proud to share that PracticalNursing.org ranked Northwestern Oklahoma State University as the #4 LPN-to-BSN Program in Oklahoma for 2027!

Our LPN-to-BSN track is designed for working LPNs who want to build on their existing knowledge and patient care experience and step into expanded clinical roles as a registered nurse with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Our junior BSN students enjoyed partnering with LPN students at Pioneer Technology Center in Ponca City for a simulation day focused on inter professional collaboration and communication. Thank you, Pioneer Technology Center, for your continued partnership and for the opportunity to bring our students together for a fun day of learning!
