GSW's Writing Center Writing is a complex process that's fostered by attentive readers. Consultants assist students in strategies for the writing process in all disciplines.

We provide writers with attentive readers. We ask questions about the assignment in order to create dialogues aimed at improving writing at any level. We work with writers, allowing them to maintain ownership of their work and ideas rather than fixing student papers. We guide students through each step of their writing processes, helping with issues such as:
Overcoming writer’s block
Coming up wit

Finding focus
Developing a thesis statement
Drafting
Organizing ideas
Using grammar strategies
Using style techniques

Introducing and concluding
Following citation guidelines
