Rotary Youth Leadership Awards Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) is a leadership program coordinated by Rotary Clubs around the globe.

Each year, thousands of young people participate in this program. Young people ages 14–30 are sponsored by Rotary Clubs to attend the event run by the club's district committee. Participants are selected by sponsoring clubs and are chosen for their leadership potential. Rotary Clubs and the District cover all expenses for the participants. District 6900 RYLA is presented as a 4-day camp each summe

r. RYLA aims to:
•Demonstrate Rotary's respect and concern for youth;
•Provide an effective training experience for selected youth and potential leaders;
•Encourage leadership of youth by youth;
•Recognise publicly young people who are rendering service to their communities. Every RYLA program covers the following core topics:
•Fundamentals of leadership
•Ethics of positive leadership
•Importance of communication skills in effective leadership
•Problem-solving and conflict management
•Rotary's purpose and service to the community
•Building self-confidence and self-esteem
•Elements of community and global citizenship

RYLA 2026 was a blast!! We learned. We tried new things. We made new friends. And we had FUN! Thank you to all the clubs who gave us the opportunity to make a positive impact on your future leaders. Thank you to the students who gave RYLA a chance- we can’t wait to see what your futures hold!!

Do you want to experience a little Rotary excitement and take a closer look at one of Rotary's many amazing programs? If you're saying Yes - and I know you are!! - consider joining us at RYLA for the Chaperone Experience!

What is the Chaperone Experience you ask? It's a whole lot of leadership lessons, learning, and late night fellowship. Hang with the staff and students of RYLA 2026 and get to know what the program is all about. It includes the "bed & breakfast" bonus of a room in the luxurious Southwestern Oaks with breakfast at the Hurricane Cafe. All at no cost to you!

The dates for RYLA 2026 are June 6-10, but you don't have to stay the whole time. If you're only available for 1 or 2 days, we'll take it! And you won't regret it! :-)
