Paul is an 18-month-old Great Pyrenees and Australian Cattle Dog mix.

Paul loves playing with chew toys and warm blankets. He is looking for a family that can take him on long walks and has a canine buddy for him to wrestle with!

Introducing ANS 4210X (Diet Formulation for Monogastric Animals)! A new course coming this Fall 2026 semester.

ANS 4210X is a half-semester, 1-credit course. The prerequisite for this course is ANS 3200 (or equivalent) and Senior classification. ANS 4210X will meet on Thursdays from 2:15 to 4:10 PM.

You will learn to upload and manage ingredient profiles in formulation software, formulate monogastric diets, analyze common diet formulation errors, and apply systematic troubleshooting approaches.

Diet Formulation for Monogastric Animals will be taught by Dr. Logan Kilburn, Dr. Dalton Humphrey, Dr. Laura Greiner, and Dr. Elizabeth Bobeck.

The Ace Project will be offering Canine Good Citizen (basic obedience) and Puppy classes starting on January 28 that will run for 6 consecutive weeks.

Our CGC class will be at 6 PM and Puppy Class (dogs less than 1 year) at 7 PM. Location at the Hansen Center. These will be predominately student led as we have Ace Project students that have become approved CGC evaluators with the American Kennel Club (AKC). The cost is $100 for the 6 week course with funds supporting the Ace Project training program.

We hit a huge milestone and had our 50th dog adopted from the ACE program over the weekend!

Our 50th dog was Smudge. She is a 7 year old border collie, adopted with our partner rescue, Heart of a Border Collie Rescue and headed to her forever home with Shania and Chad. She was fostered by animal science student, Kayde Martin.

We also got the last 2 dogs from the program adopted for the semester - 13 total! Assistant Professor Logan Kilburn and her husband are adopting #51, Henry. He’s a 6 year old border collie that was fostered by Professors Steven and Elisabeth Lonergan this semester.

Meet Harley! Harley is a 2-year-old purebred bordercollie, with a blue merle smooth coat. He has an active personality and loves to play! He is young and getting accustomed to the world, but does well around other dogs.

Meet Tully! Tully is a 5-year-old purebred border collie, with a blue merle smooth coat. She has been the biggest surprise of the ACE program! She started out very stressed but quickly adjusted to her foster home. Tully is a very sweet dog that loves to snuggle with her foster student!

Tully can be timid, but has done a great job developing her confidence! If you are patient and love to cuddle, you would make the perfect forever home for her!
