🎓Master's Degree
As a full-time employee and mother of two, the flexibility of the MPPD program was one of the main reasons I was able to successfully pursue my degree. I was also deeply motivated by my desire to show my children that they can achieve anything they set their minds to, regardless of the challenges they may face.
The various aspects of the program, along with the support and encouragement from professors, were invaluable. They guided me academically and inspired me to explore opportunities beyond my initial career goal of becoming a clinical dietitian.
My experiences—including an internship in community health in Ghana, participation in the Summer Meal Program in Story County, and a clinical rotation at Mary Greeley with two amazing MPPD alumni (Kayla and Delaney)—broadened my perspective on nutrition and highlighted the diverse roles that dietitians can play in improving health.
Overall, the program expanded my vision and equipped me with the confidence and skills necessary to pursue opportunities in clinical, community, food service, and international nutrition. ~ Recent graduate Dzigbodi Gbenyedzi
