From Manson, Iowa, please welcome Austin Olberding to the Sorority and Fraternity Engagement team!
Austin is two-time University of Iowa graduate with his B.A. in Psychology with a minor in Criminology, Law, and Justice, and his M.A. in Higher Education and Student Affairs. At the University of Iowa, Austin joined the Iota-Chi Zeta chapter of Lambda Chi Alpha.
Austin has worked as the Housing Director for Lambda Chi Alpha at the University of Iowa and as a Graduate Intern for Student Organization Support the University of Iowa. Most recently he worked in the Penn State Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life as the Assistant Director of Community Development and Belonging. At Iowa State, he will serve as a Coordinator of Council and Chapter Development in the SFE Office.
Favorite Movies: The Longest Yard, The Waterboy, and 42
Fun Fact: Austin has played music since he was four years old, and he knows how to play over 10 different instruments
Fraternity Memory: "One of my favorite things was going to Iowa football games together. This was a huge part of our brotherhood, and we watched nearly every home game and several away games together."
Favorite Snacks: Belvita bars, Strawberry Uncrustables, and Nutty Buddy wafers

Austin is so excited to continue his development as a Fraternity and Sorority Professional with such a great community. He's looking forward to learning from more professionals and expanding his advising and coaching skills.
