The Memorial Union’s Gold Star Hall honors Iowa State students who died in service to our country. The hall serves as the “memorial” within the building, and around 600 names are engraved on the walls.

For more than 15 years, Iowa State faculty, alumni, veterinary students, and volunteers have traveled annually to South Dakota to provide veterinary services at Crow Creek Reservation. The temporary clinic offers accessible and affordable care to animal owners on the reservation and typically assists over 300 animals.
