Join us for the Edgewood Locker Invitational on May 9th as part of the Cyclone Youth Meat Judging Series. This is a great opportunity for Iowa 4-H and FFA members to gain hands-on experience, sharpen their skills, and get prepared for the State FFA Meat Judging Contest on May 19th.

The Cyclone Youth Meat Judging Series is kicking off this spring with exciting opportunities for Iowa 4-H and FFA members to compete, learn, and grow in meat evaluation. This is your chance to step into the cooler, test your skills, and compete alongside students from across the state.

The Cyclones had a great day at the March to the Arch Meat Judging Contest hosted by Frick’s Quality Meats and University of Missouri!

This group put together a strong performance, earning Champion Team honors while placing:
🌪️ 1st in Pork Judging
🌪️ 1st in Specifications
🌪️ 1st in Total Placings

Individual Highlights:
• Leah Sargeant – 5th Overall
• Ashley Hudson – 2nd in Total Placings and Total Pork Judging
• Molly Matthiesen– Tied for 3rd in Specifications
• Christina Jackson – 3rd in Total Pork and 1st in Specifications
• Katie Finnegan – 2nd in Reasons and 4th Overall

Proud of the work this team continues to put in each week and the way they represent Iowa State wherever we go.

Thank you to Frick’s Quality Meats and the University of Missouri for hosting a great contest.
