Teens from Brattleboro Boys & Girls Club Explore Careers at UMass Student Farm

Vermont teens explored careers in agriculture with a tour of the UMass Student Farm that included organic vegetable production, a pick-your-own field of flowers for CSA members, and ethical raising of poultry and other farm animals.

Stockie Nick Pappas (Turfgrass Management AS ’10; Plant & Soil Sciences ’12) explains his job as Field Director for the NFL. Nick has overseen the growth and installation of the playing field for the last few Superbowls.
