UMass Kinesiology Academic Advising

UMass Kinesiology Academic Advising Academic Advising for the Kinesiology Department at UMass Amherst Kinesiology is an interdisciplinary field focusing on the science of human movement.

Its four basic elements – biochemistry, biomechanics, motor control, and physiology – are integrated to allow kinesiologists to address a wide variety of questions. In recent years, the field of kinesiology has evolved toward less emphasis on sport and a much stronger focus on an understanding of human movement and the role of physical activity and exercise in health and disease. To those ends, ki

nesiologists use tools from molecular biology, neuroscience, engineering, medicine, and computer science to work on unique problems in a diverse array of settings that include laboratories, hospitals, health and wellness centers, and field environments. - See more at: http://www.umass.edu/sphhs/kinesiology .rNPQO7qo.dpuf

Hi everyone! The UMass Kinesiology Club is hosting a professional development workshop with Professor Eliza Frechette this Thursday 2/8 at 5:30pm (location TBA). The workshop will consist of work on resumes and cover letters, mock interviews, and determining personal strengths and weaknesses when asked in interviews. We have decided to open the workshop up to the entire Kinesiology department, but for a small fee. If you are already a Kinesiology Club member, it is free. If you are not a club member but still want to attend, it is $2. And, if you are not a club member but want to attend AND join the club, it is our regular $5 semester fee (this will allow you to come to any events we hold this semester for free). Due to the popularity of this workshop, we ask that you RSVP below because we will most likely cap it at a certain number. Oh, and there will be food!!!!
