Clinical Affective Sciences Lab - CASL

Clinical Affective Sciences Lab - CASL Research Lab Welcome to the Clinical Affective Sciences Laboratory (CASL)!

In our lab, we conduct research on a variety of topics related to emotion regulation problems, with a specific focus on individuals with Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) and their key features (e.g., self-harm). Using self-report and psychophysiological measures, we seek to understand differences in how individuals experience their emotions. We evaluate how emotions affect behavior and cognit

ions, such as learning and problem solving performance. We also investigate the effects of different types of emotion regulation skills and strategies, as well as the ways in which particular treatment strategies work to help people who struggle with emotion regulation problems.
